The North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie (North Shore Center) is a dynamic two-theater complex operating to provide cultural, literary and educational programs to benefit Chicago and its North Shore communities. The facility features an 867-seat mainstage theater and a convertible 318-seat theater. The North Shore Center presents a Feature Series of entertainment spanning numerous genres and styles, an educational performing arts program, Youtheatre and the annual Showcase tradeshow for performers for young audiences. The Center is home to producing theater company Northlight Theatre, Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra, Ars Viva Symphony Orchestra, Music of the Baroque and numerous other cultural organizations and special rental and corporate events each year. The North Shore Center is located approximately twelve miles from Chicago’s Loop and O’Hare Airport, just of the I-94 Expressway and adjacent to Westfield Old Orchard Mall and Double Tree by Hilton, and the Center is close to major corporate headquarters and excellent dining options.
